Land is so expensive in Western Canada it would cost almost double to buy this now I started in a rental and worked a deal with the owner . This is where I found my First pig Willy as a stray in 1993 and started bringing more pigs home in the year 2000 . In the move after the owner/partner wanted out and after being flooded i found this acreage on higher ground. $20,000 was spent on perimeter fencing here , housing and paddocks . Three days after arriving the pump on the well went which was $3000.00 and don’t get me started on the trucks transmission , then motor then a total used truck replacement it all adds up . None of this was done by donation and I am still paying down the mortgage at what I can afford on disability now. The pigs live in separate housing spread out over 20 paddocks. Most of you know I started this 21 years ago in Maple Ridge and many of the pigs came in as adults , of various sizes and ages. It could be dangerous to house them all together due to age and needs of these individuals . The paddocks are huge and housing is determined by breed and sizes of the bonded families here. The paddocks take up approx 1/3 of the acreage leaving a very large pasture and forested , wild grass and bushy areas for pigs to graze , explore and stretch their legs if they choose too. All the pigs get out of there paddocks for enrichment and stimulation just not all at the same time . Many of the pigs are seniors and no match for the young big strong farm pigs they challenge for hierarchy here. It seems all that are small are mighty and feisty such are the pot bellied pigs. They start the fights with the bigger ones as size doesn’t seem to matter to these guys . However a fight with a big pig could cause serious injuries to these little pigs. When meals are being fed the pigs are returned to their own paddocks so they are able to eat without worry or stress from the others . I wanted to share that with you as from time to time you will see pictures of pigs behind gates but they all get to be out and about and I keep a calendar so no one gets cheated of that . This may also help you understand why we manage the Sanctuary and its residents the way we do as we are not on 50 plus acres here and the reason why ;o))

Janice Gilletthttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02997741046742192330noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7357415595622318705.post-72550033761749595152022-03-01T12:10:00.004-08:002022-03-01T12:10:53.623-08:00Pig Magic https://youtu.be/nO2N3UamPhI Janice Gilletthttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02997741046742192330noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7357415595622318705.post-46190162463768621392021-12-07T13:07:00.001-08:002021-12-07T13:07:29.615-08:00 Home

Knowing pigs for over 28 years has shown me how sensitive they are and how much they need and deserve our love. During the day when I am busy working in the house pigs will seek me out to come and be with me . Telling me where they been with pig chatter , saying hello and wanting me to touch them . Everyone of the pigs here especially love it when I tell them how soft their bristles are , how beautiful there tail is or how perfect their ears are and on both sides. You know your animal family and how they respond to your voice and your touch , its not complicated to see they love you right back.
This home I have created for them brings me great pleasure when I see they feel safe to lay in an open area to feel the sun on their tummy . To watch the greetings between them when they have gone separate ways here and then join up later. How when given a choice they go to their designated houses as it provides the same feeling of peace and safety as it is to us when we come home. Home … familiar smells , sounds , our stuff , our family .. our room a place we have come to depend on as our own. Home…
The calls and emails regarding pigs who have been family members for years now not worth the trouble it would take to find a place with them, build a ramp for them, order a shed to house them , provide a corner for them to sleep in, Oh the kids have moved out now so we don’t want the ‘beloved “ pig anymore as we downsized as if this justifies the lack of loyalty and responsibility. Love ,,,what happened to LOVE .
I wrote someone back the night before that I couldn’t take any pigs right now until I have a solid team, more support , more money and someone to take this over if something should happened to me. I typed , deleted , typed deleted because my anger rises from such a deep sorrow for these pigs who were safe in their room one day and no longer wanted the next . I ended up just deleting the email telling myself that’s what I should do but I didn’t and when I let the email go begging them to keep her I cried . I cried as these pigs have a bigger chance of being slaughtered , abused , used as hunters bait or dog fights then they do at finding a good home if I don’t take them.
Would you please open your heart for a pig who needs you? I must reach out to people who have never experienced the love of a pig in order to help more and have you educate others as I do today. There is no place for them go , they need you now. .

Back then i was one of the firsts on Facebook and was about 10-12 years behind the leaders who created out of need " pig sanctauries".
After finding my first pig Willy and getting on line with those rescuers during reserach for that pig i came accross a name ,one i found to be respected in the pig communtiy. She was well known for her vast veterinayr knowledge due to her late husband who was a vet and for her large contrutions to the usa recuers. The fact i would later learn was her knowlesge came from dispicable actions, as well as her money. In fact i had reached out to her when i needed help for Willy and spoke to her on the phone. I remember her telling me she was a breeder and had over 200 pot bellied pigs. The years went by and there were pig shows , huge educational pig events , pig get togthers and the thought came to me one day that i had never heard of anyone having one of this breeders pigs. What the hell did she do as a breeder with over 200 pigs?
In the USA a pig registry formed and a medcal data base in order to follow blood lines , to register purebred pot bellied pigs and to share medical knowledge.
One day i spotted an ad in our paper looking to sell a family of pet pigs. A mom pig and her three babies were for sale and the ad stated they were purbred. Knowing only one registered breeder in Canada at the time i needed to get those pigs to safty and then find out if that breeder had shipped a pregnunt mom pig accross Canada for profit . This act of shipping a pregnunt pig was also against the guidlines of this newly formed registry. It also disgusted me as no one needed to be shipping pigs anywhere as there were plenty of them in trouble where we were already. I also had to aquire the papers for those pigs in the sale for proof of where they came from . When reading those documents i recognized the name of one of those male pigs to be one 'rescued" by a Sanctaury in Wisconisn. Over time i had also come to realize this rescuer was also friends to this New York breeder with over 200 pigs . Were these guys all in cahoots??
The mom and her babies were safe now and away from the buyer who had also killed a teeny baby for being agressive and who wondered as she spoke to me what they tasted like. I fired off a letter in anger to that Ontario breeder , my gawed did she sell to just anyone? Then after some research and questionable links I requested documents from the USDA , under the freedom of infomation act for the shipping documents of pigs being moved from the address of the New York breeder.
An Ontario Breeder and a Wisconsin sanctuary were breeding a rescued registered male pig and selling litters. The Wisonsin rescue kept showing us pictures of these beautiful babies telling us she saved them from the local market . We could tell the offspring had the same markings of that rescued boar so it wasn't hard to put two and two toether and now I had proof. I also noted she was freinds with that New York breeder who i found out to be shipping 200 pigs at a time to China to be used in medical reserch labs.
It took a year to get those docuemnts and they went public. The respect was lost for all of them and it tore both rescuers and breeders apart not wanting to believe what they were all doing to our precious pigs. I was no one , i had about a dozen rescue pigs at the time , way up here in Canada but uncovered so many wrong doings by shear gut instinct and then proved it with documentation. It was a scary time but i did what had to be done. None of them deserved our respect and to think they were profitting from the breeding of rescues and then another shipping them to China where they would be tortured to death.
If something doesn't look right or feel right it is up to you to act on it. This crazy notion based on some unwritten golden rule that if we interfere it will only hurt the animals could be the differnce in life and death for all of them. Look at the countless petting zoos who ship there animals at season end no longer wanted. EARTH the Sancturary made famous for its founder singing to a very sick little blind pig, That little movie went viral , she was also rseponsible for the death of over 600 rescued animals left in her care. Thousnads and thousnads of dollars of donations received . Defunct Sanctuaries leaving behind 100's of pigs in Texas, 400 pigs at a defunct Florida rescue were gassed to death , over 200 farm animals starving at another and one in Mexico had all of hers shot by the police until rescue stepped in. She sent me pictures of them doing it while it was happening. Dead pigs laying about , rifles sticking out of windows . And i had actually warned a friend in the states about this rescue that somenthing was not right but no one expected this . Its on and on ... open your eyes people as all of these rescues had visitors and facebook pages and even if authorities can't touch them rescuers can and will step in. Question actions if they are asking for money, its your right to get answers and if they have nothing to hide they will provide the anwsers and prove it to you. As a rescuer and a charity it is my duty to be transparent in all that i do . As a professional rescue in all that is pig for over 25 years now , i see red flags. A shout out to the ill exeperinced or wanna be heroes who support wrong doing and close your eyes when someone like me speaks up on what is right in front of you, well the shame is on you and so will there lingering deaths. It's a nightmare and will bleed terribly then stop and he will look like nothing is the matter except for a bit of swelling. Not sure what I am to do with this in the summer but without medical support I am left and he to our own demise. There is no university here with a state of the art veterinary program and the fact is there are only three of those in all of Canada unlike our neighbors who have one in every state.
Scotch stopped eating and I thought oh man here we go , I'm going to lose him now too. But I will never let anyone go without a fight so on the second night of no eating I gave him a shot hoping that he might of just picked up an infection. . Medicam or Meloxiam can cause heat stroke so changing the pain med was the second thing i did.
The next thing to do is cook savory meals to temp a sick pig and nothing is off limits when i have a sick pig. 36 hours after treatment Scotch ate two peanut butter sandwiches, with the crusts cut off of course. He is now out in the sun rooting around the dinner area looking for let over's , I'm soo happy.
The moral of the story is never give up, try something else and go grocery shopping for anything your patient might want to eat.Janice Gilletthttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02997741046742192330noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7357415595622318705.post-71132646148409154672019-03-17T16:14:00.002-07:002019-03-17T16:14:59.154-07:00Hearts On Noses Sanctuary says Jana reported in today after hosting our event table and we are thrilled to report a positive experience!! Jana has been with us for five years and we are grateful for her commitment to the pigs and helping above and beyond for them. Thank you so much Daniela and Bernie for your art work and arrangements . A HUGE thank you to everyone at The Vegan Night Market .and of course the Waldorf and all the great volunteers who made this event possible. I look out first light and see the glossiness of the ice winking at me and think ugh here i go again. Magda has been here helping me since Sunday and her words felt 'bad assed' packing her sledge hammer as we both set out to hammer out the thick ice from out of the rubber water tubs in each and every paddock here. 22 paddocks with the average of three tubs of water per except the bigger pigs have big tubs and are able to free the ice on there own. Nothing worse then looking out there and seeing a water tub dragged by a little pot belly trying to free the ice and get a drink on there own. i And thankfully Chris left her snow sled here so we could load four pails of water on it at a time and get the water to them all without carrying it everywhere . Much easier as this sled glides and this old dog can be taught new tricks. The snow is now powder on top of shiny frozen ice as the heavy snow , then wet snow and a quick freeze has left it treacherous for all of us to walk on. Lacy our vintage horse has been confined to barn and paddock for her own safety and special needs girl Rose is reminded to go slow and stay in her nest until i get to her at feeding times. The wild birds have been fed this morning too and i am currently unthawing the humming bird feeder i left out over night by mistake. The animals i am sure are extremely bored in this weather as it is pretty well bed weather and it is only the food that breaks up these long days with no grazing or rooting to be had. Perhaps a special treat of alfalfa is in order for delivery to them all today as the sun is shining with clear sky's on this frozen white tundra and i must look past the work and see the beauty in it all.Janice Gilletthttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02997741046742192330noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7357415595622318705.post-41468192157467112712018-01-21T22:47:00.001-08:002018-01-21T22:47:57.503-08:00Roscoe , They Just Want To Be Loved

This precious baby was pulled from a litter as the runt and saved from being trampled on and then eaten ( if he made it to 5 months old). The people had no way of keeping him and reached out to Hearts On Noses Sanctuary. 12 years ago . . By fluke i had an approved family not too far from here and had been out there several times. I thought the couple were wonderful . They were checked out and yes they would take this baby big pig. Roscoe too young to be neutered but under contract to do so found his way to this new home. The red flags started immediately. They didn't have straw for him when his arrival was a day away . They came here and got all my stuff such as a portable pen for the house , bedding and dishes .
I began calling this family every two weeks once he was of age to neuter and after months of promises and me working full time well more time went by.
I was heading out to pick up some homeopathic remedies and by fluke i ended up on the very street Roscoe lived at. Not prepared with treats when i jumped out of the truck i started to grab the rich grass on this 5 acre piece so i had something to offer Ros. The family were both outside working and the women looked at me and asked "do they like grass?" You have no idea the huge red flag this is and my blood was boiling when i asked " did you get him neutered ?" and they replied "no". .
While walking up the hill to the little pen they had when i approved them there he was ,..laying in mud , the water container was bone dry and his house without one shred of bedding in it. I said to the women " he is not living like a companion animal!! And she said " yea well we were thinking of getting rid of him"... WTF?? They were under contract and i told them both in no uncertain words that i would be back with a horse trailer and take care of that . .
Roscoe is our biggest guy here and he most certainly just wants to be with you. When he is running about the acreage at will he will try and bash in the feed shed doors , tip over wheelbarrows and flip benches cause he can, He really just wants to hang out with you and be loved. You have to stop what your doing and feel the warmth of his huge self as he stands as close to you as possible . He looks into your eyes and opens his mouth with big ha ha ha's and i hold onto his big head and kiss his blonde bristles. His love pours from his giant self into your heart and yours back to his as the warmth crawls up your legs and you hold him as best as you can. Its a hug from an innocent species that from no fault of their own is imprisoned by the billions , tortured then executed as a babies so you can eat them.
Please stop eating babies ..do it for Roscoe ..Janice Gilletthttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02997741046742192330noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7357415595622318705.post-73483090885382326312018-01-11T00:39:00.000-08:002018-01-11T00:39:21.139-08:00<
Ear notching tells the producer which litter the pig was born to. The tool they use ,( pictured here ) is like a pair of scissors with razor blades .. No they do not be nice to the little pigs when they do this none of this is nice and of course no sedation either ... just a screaming baby grabbed and held screaming while they slice his little baby ears . If you eat pigs your eating babies PLEASE STOP EATING BABIES and put an end to this barbaric and cruel industry.

Sharing is not caring if all its doing is circulating the abuse and no one is actually doing anything about it except sharing it. Calling The SPCA is not enough but emailing every animal rescue in the area , calling emailing the city council , protest store fronts, use social media by net working , call the local veterinarians , call the local newspapers , animal advocates, animal activists groups , create a petition, put posters up, radio stations and for lack of better works be a real pain in the ass to everyone!! The animals need you to do this and if the animals need vet support raise the funds with all the contacts you have made and get them there., If you love animals and you see harm or abuse or feel things are not right, THERE NOT RIGHT and stand up and do what needs to be done!! I see some article in the paper about the farm where those calves are and the SPCA will not be laying charges even tho many animals died there from lack of medical intervention and many more will die there for the same reason . Another crappy petting zoo supported by the general public to fulfill the need to see baby farm animals and just like the one in Kamloops!! Where is the help for them?? STOP SUPPORTING ABUSE by going to any public venue that has a petting zoo, they are using animals to suck you in to going there and buying what ever they are selling.
And one final note if your part n the grande scheme of making change is being an Activist then where the animals are makes NO difference,,get to work!! Rescuers simply can't do everything here !!
DO NOT SUPPORT petting zoos by attending for your children as there are rescues everywhere that are more suited and take care of there animals unlike ANY PETTING ZOO does. Petting Zoos are using YOU and the animals in there care. If they don't eat them they are being shipped to slaughter and someone else will. And if they keep them during the winter months when they are closed it is only to breed them so YOU have cute babies to gawk at during the season , to be sold to anyone and or shipped again at end of season for slaughter. I wanted to post about the work done cleaning here this week. . Sean, Amy , Magda ,Jana and i were here doing the waters , cleaning dishes , adding bedding where needed, raking manure from pens by the wheelbarrow and feeding/medicating yesterday( saturday) The donated hours in labour added up to 20.. Our Wednesday crew Sean , Amy , Chris and Lynn doing the same work has a combined hours of 18. Mark also an integral member is here every two weeks and his 5 plus hours is a mix of build, repair and like Sean the heavy work such as moving gravel or bark mulch where needed . ( we keep gravel and bark mulch on site ) This does not include our artistic members who photograph and create for us, or our members who donate time tabling events or fundraising by way of selling goods for us on line or having garage sales. This also doesn't include the truckloads of hay and feed picked up and put away every month. the paper work , our accountant , runs too recycling by the truckload , hoof trims , tusk trims . rescue work, emails book keeping , phone calls or emergencies.
Work days and times are strictly regulated in order to reduce the disturbance's to the animals . Pigs are a peaceful species much like cats being timid and nervous so we respect their space and maintain the peace for them as best as we can.
When we are finished for the day working outside we are tired,, sore and dirty as we all work hard. None of us girls have manicured nails .. this ain't no petting zoo., This is rescue and a working sanctuary. We are not here to hang out , take selfies and look cool, we are here working for the animals. . . .

Yesterday although i think i might have had two hours sleep i pushed through that as the temps have dropped and i needed to make sure my pigs were warm. I had a load of nice straw in the shed so off i went doing one house at a time. When i got to Gloria's house i was reminded of when she arrived and how her family told us she didn't like hay or straw in her house.. ( how the hell did she keep warm there ?) The fact of the matter is Gloria is quite vocal and the night before when i asked her if she needed to be covered and she gave her self a shake which signifies oh yes please and so i grabbed her blanket and tucked her. in. And today as i stuffed more straw in her house she told me all about how now she had to get up and fix her nest . I tossed straw all around her. and then i gently brushed it from her face , I popped a few baby cookies in that kisser.. I asked her do you remember your first day( pictured here before her new house came in ) and i made you a big nest of straw and it was oh so cozy??!! I went on , and this will keep you oh so warm and comfy under your heat lamp.. She does have a lot to say and if you didn't know better you might not understand and be confused about her form of communication. She has a good strong voice for a little pig and is a big talker when you lift up her door flap but she loves to be loved and just has a lot to say about it.
i think a lot of people don't understand what there chatty pig is saying to them and when people don't understand they seem to take it as a negative. and if they have any underlying fear they will take it as anger or irritability. i think how frustrating it must be for a pig to be talked too like they don't understand.or can't hear. PIgs have many voices , you need to know your pig to hear what they are saying.Janice Gilletthttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02997741046742192330noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7357415595622318705.post-46158397130124429432017-11-12T11:02:00.000-08:002017-11-12T11:02:35.312-08:00

It is a Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown for unless we pay a handsome price a pig here would never bite into one. As pig rescuer i have never got a bag of dog food , cat food or horse food donated by any pet food store in the 17 years I have been doing this. The only food i did get donated had to go to the dump as it was so full of mold. I have never had a tool gifted cause it had a dent in it or a price reduction in materials i needed for a build. I have never in all my years had a truck pull up with a load of hay or straw for bedding for our harsh winter months. We get no discount on our feed bill but we spend thousands every 6 weeks on it . Once in a while i will get bags of the hay swept off of someones barn floor that i can use for bedding. and i m grateful. Today I spent all afternoon driving around Mission to Pitt Meadows asking for a decent price on the left over pumpkins a few stores had . There are two places I will never walk into again as they couldn't be bothered to help me and basically treated me like shit. I did buy a load of pumpkins and spent almost 100.00 for them. And when i think of all the years i have been looked down on because i rescue pigs i could of cried all the way home after yet another demeaning day. .

But I won't because of those of you and we are not many who do give a shit and if not for your help these Heart pigs

that live here or were placed in good homes around B.C. would all be dead. Sure a few rescues scattered about have pigs but they are simply token pigs and added to the collective. They are not the Number Ones there and thought of in highest regard , not for who they are , how clever and precious . It is why each and every donation is precious to me , it is why each person who gives up their time to work here and give of themselves for the pigs that keeps me going . It is that event , that donation or that trip to pick up or gather something we can use here to make the lives better for the pigs that i am so very grateful for. . I got our Pumpkins , kids - and to those of you who help me , thank you they are going to love them/
The board is typical of most feed stores out here that will host event posters , an array of business cards , tree services, hay for sale and " HOME WANTED" .
<span style="color: #1d2129; font-family: "helvetica" , "arial" , sans-serif;">

<span style="color: #1d2129; font-family: "helvetica" , "arial" , sans-serif;">You ever notice that when someone is giving up someone they always state something along the lines of " we love him to pieces but " and or " much Loved ", What a pile of bullshit And i feel this way because i do love and know what that is and it means i would do everything i had to do to make it work.
<span style="color: #1d2129; font-family: "helvetica" , "arial" , sans-serif;">

<span style="color: #1d2129; font-family: "helvetica" , "arial" , sans-serif;"> Do these people say this to relieve some sort of inner guilt or are you saying that to make us feel sorry for you? Because giving up someone and then saying you love them on a crappy piece of paper on a feed store board is such bullshit.
<span style="color: #1d2129; font-family: "helvetica" , "arial" , sans-serif;">

<span style="color: #1d2129; font-family: "helvetica" , "arial" , sans-serif;"> Then they add must go to good home well how would they know a good home from a bad one ? Clearly they were a terrible home as they are getting rid of someone they love!!
<span style="color: #1d2129; font-family: "helvetica" , "arial" , sans-serif;">

<span style="color: #1d2129; font-family: "helvetica" , "arial" , sans-serif;"> Oh and now the very popular " adoption fee" is added to the post as they have learned that stating a value doesn't go over too well with people who love like me so they use terms the rescue orgs use and that is " must pay adoption fee" I am rolling my eyes here but this shit sells and works on the average joe as they are not in the rescue world and facing this kind of bullshit on a daily basis.
<span style="color: #1d2129; font-family: "helvetica" , "arial" , sans-serif;">

<span style="color: #1d2129; font-family: "helvetica" , "arial" , sans-serif;"> In fact anyone can pretty well say anything they want now <span style="background-color: white; color: #1d2129; font-family: "helvetica" , "arial" , sans-serif; font-size: 14px; white-space: pre-wrap;">as there is no one policing "bullshit" animals unwanted ads. <span style="color: #1d2129; font-family: "helvetica" , "arial" , sans-serif;">
A petting zoo was wrapping up for the season and preparing to ship all their animals to the auction. It was a bad time for me emotionally but i did my best to work with the Petting Zoo owners to get these animals homes, fosters or to keep them and stop the repeat turn over of unwanted animals by people who betray them. I told her there are not people like me there buying animals. They will be slaughtered, sacrificed or WORSE. The Auction is a disgusting market of terrified animals being torn from all they loved and know. Fear in there eyes calling out to each other or huddled so tightly trying to gain safety for each other. Then you have the meat dealers , impulsive shoppers and the petting zoo buyers who pick animals by way of meat value or temperament with no thought to the mother or bonded friends standing by. If you can't be pet in this terrifying place they won't buy you... it is truly a place where the most callous hang out. It is a place you would never find me at.. ...
Two little pigs needed to be picked up from the Zoo asap and three of us loaded up crates and off we went. It took a while as i don't have a horse trailer but we got em and our fosters were quick to name them, fall in love and adopt them. . Bernie now named is the white guy and Wolfie more out going is the little blank one. Joined by there family and existing spotted pig kid Jake , it is now one big happy family. 🐷 Hearts On Noses Sanctuary🐷

We took Lola from a place after having her spayed and then renaming her Allie in hopes her anger would meet us half way. She came out of her crate with potato peels as her lure. and drove in a big Dodge Dually by a restaurant owner to never saw them again . New start for such a broken little girl. She came at me in front of two young volunteers and gave me a good bite while i yelled out for help those two girls ran and locked themselves up in the shed. They would let me die ;o) I remember rubbing her belly and i remember her nose nudging me and taking me completely off guard while talking to another pig. She loved the snow and enjoyed being out in the paths 2 1/2 ft deep this winter. She was my helper. And that same nose touched my hand as we moved her into safe , heated quarters close to me where she died later last night. (I tried 6 diff types of antibiotics and the necropsy left unanswered questions).

I am not like most Santuary directors , speaking about love and taking selfies with my pigs. I am raw and real and speak out against wrongs and morne as deep as you do;.

To the likes of people like Debbie Cork who thought herself an authority on Sanctuary operations and volunteers attacked me in the most cruel way yesterday during a time in which i was trying to save the life of a pig. To all the Debbie Corks when your asking yourself how did this happen when some rescue is found out to be a fake and you cry out 'why didn't somebody say something ' I will and have .. and to all the Debbie Corks who think i should be able to live up to your expectations what ever they are , think again. Haven't i done enough and i know i have done more then you will ever do because i gave everything i could and you think your the authority ... no ..i am,.

I bought this acreage, I worked my ass off and i built it and i moved us all and i built it again. I had a heart attack and during my recovery three years later i lost pig after pig after dog after cat and after horse as i was getting old and so were my babies .. i cried and i cried and it still wasn't good enough for you all.. i was to be some good witch floating around here in a pink bubble living up to everyone's expectations as a sanctuary director. .

I will live and die with Allies loss , what did i do ..what didn't i do.; and let me share with you some more ,

especially the likes of Debbie Cork.

Chris and Lynn arrived early today, early they volunteer and arrive about 1;30... but things come together as i woke early and rushed to Allie to find her gone and so this morning's greeting was of tears . Both girls offered instead of doing the reg chores they would take Allie to the Lab for me so i have have a Necropsy done so i could find out what i did wrong. Brook rushed down here with a bottle of wine and helped me deal with my grief and this is cleaning out both Allies house and the hospital room we moved her too. All the dishes of uneaten efforts, fresh hay moved out imprinted with her crossing. My kitchen littered with syringes. open bottles , pots filled with soups and remembering telling her that she had to be brave that all of this would make her better- ... and to find her dead was such a betrayal. I take comfort in that she didn't struggle. that she died peacefully and i am glad i gave her a shot of pain killer.

And Debbie Cork you were not here When Jeff arrived to help me take Allie to the clinic and Dana was here not you to help us load her. You were not hear to help administer shots and meds with Magda and i to try and save Alley.

You have one hell of a ;lot of nerve and if you think that i am going to read your post and take it sitting down and then you call it hatred when i stand up for myself ..well think again.

When Brook left today. she hugged and kissed me and although she is going home to her husband and kids she stopped a second to reinforce that love and hugged me again.

Screw you Debbie Cork on a day i lost one of my babies. .
